About Slab Compass

What this is

Slab Compass is an independent directory that compares trading-card grading companies worldwide on modeled landed cost, turnaround, and sourced evidence — across 45 companies and 113+ cited sources. We built it because grading costs are scattered, inconsistent, and hard to compare across countries: a US-centric fee table tells a collector in Brazil or Germany very little about what they'll actually pay all-in.

What makes it different

• Worldwide, per country. We model landed cost — base fee plus shipping, insurance, and tax — for the market you're actually submitting from, not just a US list price.
• Sourced and dated. Every price traces to an official page with a retrieval date. Where a figure isn't published, we say "unknown" rather than guess.
• Independent. Our comparisons are not influenced by commercial relationships. See our methodology for exactly how data is collected and gated.

How we stay independent

Some outbound links may be affiliate links (disclosed in our privacy policy), but these never affect how costs are modeled or ranked — the numbers come from official sources regardless of any commercial relationship.
